Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 19, 2026

SeasonKeep ("we," "us," or "our") is a product of Edison Forge, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company ("Edison Forge"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our home maintenance scheduling platform.

SeasonKeep is offered solely for use by residents of the United States and is not intended for users outside the United States. All personal information we collect is stored and processed in the United States by U.S.-based service providers. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use SeasonKeep.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address via our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Home profile data: When you set up a home, we store a home name you choose, city, state, zip code, square footage, number of stories, property type (single-family, condo, townhouse, etc.), year built, and details about your home systems (HVAC type, roof material, water heater, etc.) and features (pool, garage, basement, etc.). We also derive information from your profile such as your IECC climate zone, a home-health score, and your personalized maintenance schedule. We use this data to provide the SeasonKeep service.

Automated processing by AI: To generate your personalized maintenance schedule and context-specific task advice, we send limited home profile attributes (such as climate zone, home age, year built, square footage, number of stories, property type, and installed systems and features — including HVAC type, roof material, water heater type, and similar system details) through OpenRouter, a U.S.-based AI model gateway, to Google's Gemini model. Task titles and descriptions you have written may be included so the AI can return relevant advice; please do not put personal identifiers or sensitive information in custom task titles. We do not send your name, email address, or account contact information to either provider.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with SeasonKeep, including pages visited, features used, tasks completed, and maintenance history.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. We receive only your subscription status and billing history from Stripe.

Photos: If you upload photos of completed maintenance tasks, they are stored in our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and associated with your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate and maintain your personalized maintenance schedule, including sending limited home profile data through OpenRouter to Google's Gemini model for scheduling and task-advice generation, as described in Section 1 above
  • Send task reminders via email
  • Send weekly and seasonal maintenance digest emails
  • Provide contractor search results based on your location
  • Process subscription payments via Stripe
  • Improve the product through pseudonymous product analytics (events tagged with an account-derived identifier, per Section 7)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We use cookies and similar browser-storage technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can decline non-essential cookies via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

4. Analytics & Error Tracking

PostHog: With your consent, we use PostHog for product analytics to understand feature usage and improve SeasonKeep. PostHog data is hosted in the US. You can opt out via the cookie banner.

Sentry: We use Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring. Sentry receives technical information necessary to diagnose bugs, including browser type, stack traces, page URLs, and — depending on the error — IP address and a user identifier derived from your account. We do not intentionally send account email, home-profile details, or free-text notes to Sentry.

Vercel: Our application is hosted on Vercel, which may collect basic request logs (IP address, user agent) for security and performance purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, each of which processes data solely to provide their service to us:

  • Clerk — authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Supabase — database hosting
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare — photo storage (R2)
  • Google — contractor search (Places API)
  • PostHog — product analytics (with consent)
  • Sentry — error tracking
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Inngest — background-job orchestration (reminders, scheduled digests)
  • OpenRouter and Google — AI model gateway and underlying LLM (Gemini) for generating personalized maintenance schedules and task advice
  • Upstash — rate-limiting and caching (Redis)
  • Axiom — structured logging for debugging and operations

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database to enforce tenant isolation, and secure authentication via Clerk. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS compliant) and never touches our servers.

Breach notification. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay as required by applicable law, including Oregon's consumer-breach notification statute (ORS 646A.604) and similar state laws. Notice will describe the nature of the incident, the categories of information affected, and the steps we are taking in response.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations:

  • Account and home profile data — deleted immediately from our database when you delete your account via the Danger Zone in Settings. Your Stripe customer record is deleted at the same time.
  • Task history and photos — task data is deleted immediately with your account. Photos uploaded to our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) are purged at the same time, with any residual objects removed within 30 days.
  • Payment records — we store only minimal billing metadata (Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan tier, and billing-cycle dates) while your account is active. Credit card numbers are never stored by us. Full invoice history is retained by Stripe per their retention policy (typically 7 years for tax and accounting purposes); you can export your invoices from the billing portal at any time.
  • Email delivery logs (Resend) — retained by Resend per their plan retention policy.
  • Server access logs (Vercel, Sentry) — retained per the respective provider's policy.
  • Analytics events (PostHog) — retained per PostHog's project retention settings. When you sign in, we associate PostHog events with an identifier derived from your account so we can analyze feature use. If you revoke consent via the cookie banner, we stop sending new events to PostHog; events recorded before revocation remain in PostHog under that identifier until PostHog's retention window elapses.

After account deletion, anonymized aggregate data (for example, "users in climate zone 4A complete X% of gutter-cleaning tasks") may be retained indefinitely for product improvement. This data is de-identified and maintained in a form that cannot reasonably be used to re-identify you or your household.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data via your account settings
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Download a JSON copy of your account, home profiles, tasks, and related data via the "Download my data" button in your account settings
  • Opt out of non-essential cookies and analytics
  • Control which product emails you receive (task reminders, weekly digests, seasonal digests) via the notification preferences in your account settings or the one-click unsubscribe link in any commercial email

To exercise these rights, visit your account settings or contact us at hello@edisonforge.com. We aim to respond to verifiable requests within thirty (30) days and, in all cases, within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. To exercise your rights, contact us using the information below.

The categories of personal information we collect, our sources, business purposes, and the service providers with whom we share that information are described in Sections 1, 2, and 5 above. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or for any other advertising purpose. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not disclosed personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out is required; we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a reinforcing signal of your preferences.

California Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83): We do not share personal information with third parties for those third parties' direct-marketing purposes.

10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you reside in a U.S. state that has enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy law (including, among others, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with laws effective at the time of your request), you may have rights similar to those described in Section 9 (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal data we hold about you, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling with significant effects. We do not sell personal data, do not use it for targeted advertising, and do not engage in profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise these rights, use the Download my data and Delete account controls in your account settings, or email hello@edisonforge.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframe required by your state's law (generally 30–45 days). If we decline your request, we will explain why; you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will respond to appeals in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

SeasonKeep is intended for homeowners and is not offered to individuals under the age of 18. Our Terms of Use require every user to be at least 18 years old; if we learn that an account is held by anyone under 18, we will terminate it.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@edisonforge.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least thirty (30) days before they take effect via email or a prominent notice in the app. If you do not agree to the changes, you may stop using SeasonKeep and delete your account before the effective date. Continued use of SeasonKeep after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
