Managing Your Schedule

Exporting Your Maintenance History

SeasonKeep lets you export your maintenance history as a PDF document. This is useful for insurance claims, selling your home, or keeping offline records of the work you've done.

How to Export

  1. Navigate to the History section from the sidebar
  2. Make sure the correct home is selected in the home switcher (if you have multiple properties)
  3. Click the Export PDF button at the top of the history view
  4. Your browser will download a PDF file with your complete maintenance record

What's Included in the Export

The PDF contains a summary of all completed tasks for the selected home:

  • Task name and system — What was done and which home system it relates to (HVAC, roof, plumbing, etc.)
  • Completion date — When the task was marked complete
  • Completed by — Whether you did it yourself (DIY) or hired a contractor
  • Actual cost — The amount you recorded when completing the task
  • Notes — Any details you added during completion

Tasks are organized chronologically with the most recent work at the top.

When to Export

Common reasons to export your maintenance history:

  • Selling your home — Buyers appreciate seeing a documented maintenance record. It shows the home has been well cared for and can increase buyer confidence.
  • Insurance claims — After damage, an insurer may ask for proof of regular maintenance. Your export serves as documentation.
  • Tax records — If you rent out a property, maintenance costs may be deductible. The PDF provides a clear record for your accountant.
  • Personal records — Keep an annual backup of what you've done and spent on home maintenance.

Plan Requirements

PDF export is available on Home Plan and above. Free plan users can view their history in the app but cannot generate PDF exports.

Tips

  • Export once per year to maintain a running archive of your home's maintenance
  • Make sure to enter actual costs when completing tasks — this makes your export much more useful for budgeting and tax purposes
  • Add notes when completing tasks to capture details like contractor names or materials used
