Canceling Your Subscription
If you need to cancel or change your SeasonKeep subscription, you can do it directly from your account settings. Here's how.
How to Cancel
- Go to Settings in the sidebar navigation
- Click the Billing tab
- Click the Manage Subscription button — this opens the Stripe Customer Portal
- In the portal, click Cancel plan
- Confirm your cancellation
Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again after that.
What Happens When You Cancel
When your subscription ends:
- Your account reverts to the Free plan
- You keep access to 1 home with basic maintenance tasks
- Premium features like contractor search, SMS notifications, and PDF exports become unavailable
- Your task history and completion records are preserved — nothing is deleted
- If you have multiple homes, only your primary home remains active. Other homes are archived but not deleted.
Downgrading Instead of Canceling
If the issue is cost rather than the product itself, consider downgrading instead. In the Stripe Customer Portal, you can switch to a lower-tier plan:
- Home Pro ($9.99/mo) — Up to 10 homes, SMS notifications, PDF exports
- Home Plan ($4.99/mo) — Up to 2 homes, email reminders, contractor search, PDF exports
- Free — 1 home, basic schedule only
Your existing data is preserved when you downgrade.
Reactivating Your Subscription
Changed your mind? You can resubscribe at any time:
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Upgrade and choose your plan
- Your archived homes and full task history become available again immediately
Refunds
SeasonKeep uses monthly billing with no long-term contracts. Because you can cancel anytime and your subscription runs until the end of the billing period, refunds are generally not issued. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll look into it.
